There is far more talent in the league then that right now in 2010.

I disagree with that. Expansion has caused guys who normally wouldn't make a 12-15 man roster with 25 teams in the league, make a roster on the 26th-30th team.

The quantity of talent might be more, but the quality of talent now is way less than the 80's or even 90's.

I mean if there are 25 teams in the league, and they keep the same 82 game schedule, that means you're facing guys like Bird/Magic/MJ one to two more times a year than a league with 30 teams.

Think about it for a second. A guy like Alvin Robertson was a very good PG in the 80's and 90's. Probably top 15. You throw him in today's NBA, where does he fall? Top 10 for sure, not slipping past 12 definitely.

How would the old Lakers with Magic play if they had to match up with the 2010 Lakers right now?

I think we are all saying the same thing . The level of talent in Jordan's Era completely destroys the level of talent right now and probably ever.
That was the NBA's golden era. Even w/ the rules making the game slower back then you would still see 140-130 scores all the time.If you saw a game that intense just once in a current NBA season you would be lucky.

I think the Magic Laker teams would do pretty well against this Laker team. Remember, this LA team's transition defense isn't all that great. When they get set and have Bynum and Gasol roaming the paint to challenge/block shots, that's when they're at their best.

Magic would have a field day on the break against this current squad.

It's not Kobe's fault of what era he played in but it does count against him.I can add more names from Jordan's years,Alex English,Walter Davis,Rolando Blackman,Reggie Lewis,Charles Barkley,Dominique,Stockton & Malone.

No No No...For instance I think a bench player like Big Baby Davis might be a star player in the Jordan era...

You think he'd be better than a guy like Oakley? No way. Shit, Clarence Weatherspoon would take him.

Someone like Rodman would inflict permanent mental damage onto someone like Davis.

They thought he would be the next Barkley around here....Epic Fail :?

And on that note I wish the Sixers would trade up to get Wall...that would be philly's best move to get the Wachovia Center really rockin again...

Maybe to you. To me, he's a lesser version of David Lee.

No.You think he could play at all against Mutumbo??Alonzo (before injuries)???i got a million other names...
He would be destroyed. Christian Latner would own him.

look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GQPlkkq ... 1&index=55

Now, what do you think Oakley/Jason Willaims would do 2 that guy? Please believe me, he's not built 4 that.

BBD a star in the making haha he's decent but he's no star.the 80's and 90's players were built tough. The league was nasty back then when ppl fouled you they were trying to hurt you!
